We are so excited to have Andrea Ritchie join us for a presentation and discussion on Queer and Trans People of Color in our criminal "justice" system.

Andrea Ritchie is a police misconduct attorney and organizer in New York City. Over the past decade, she has engaged in research, organizing, and advocacy on profiling, policing, and physical and sexual violence by law enforcement agents against women and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.

She works closely with a range of local and national organizations, including Streetwise & Safe, an organization focused on policing of LGBT youth of color. She is also a member of INCITE! She is the coauthor of Queer (In)Justice: The Criminalization of LGBT People in the United States and Caught in the Net, a report on women and the war on drugs. In 2014, she was a Soros Justice Fellow.
